Marjie P. Morgan

Marjie P. Morgan, 82, of Kimball, Nebraska, passed away on June 30, 2025, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Cremation has been held and memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kimball with Father C.P. Varghese officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may stop at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from noon until 4:00 p.m. to sign the register book and leave condolences for the family. Friends may also visit www.cantrellfh.com to share stories and condolences with the family. Memorials may be given in her memory to Panhandle Humane Society. The services for Marjie have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Marjie was born on February 7, 1943, in Kimball, Nebraska, to Paul and Eleanor (Gamelke) Hiltibrand. Marjie attended grade school in Bushnell and later attended the Kimball High School. After high school, she worked at A&W and was a devoted homemaker, a role she cherished throughout her life. In 1975, Marjie moved to Douglas, Wyoming, where she worked at Portable Buildings as part of their office staff. She returned to Kimball in 1986 and dedicated over 35 years of service at GRI.
Marjie had a passion for sewing, quilting, and painting, and she loved spending time outdoors, especially camping with her family at Glendo Reservoir in Wyoming. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Marjie will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to her family, and her love for life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth Morgan of Kimball, NE; sons Gary (Annette) Morgan of Kimball, NE., Jeff (Laurie) Morgan of Douglas, WY., Tim (Julie) Morgan of Glen Rock, WY., and Todd (Pennie) Morgan of Grand Island, NE; brothers Jerry Hiltibrand of Elm Creek, NE; sisters Penny (Gaylen) Hjelm of Minneapolis, MN and Vickie (Steve) Carlson of Minnetonka, MN; 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Marjie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Twila Peterson and great granddaughter Makayla.
