KIMBALL -- The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office made multiple felony arrests Friday.

Fifty-one-year-old Jorge Flores Borjas is facing two felony charges for possession of meth and cocaine, as well as a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana.

According to Sheriff David Hottell, he came across a vehicle parked in the middle of a street in Bushnell. When he stopped to investigate, he spoke to a group of people in the vicinity who claimed it did not belong to them. The trailer attached to the vehicle also had no license plate.

“Nobody claimed the vehicle, so I was looking around the vehicle, and I was able to see drug paraphernalia from the outside of the vehicle, which gave me probable cause to search it,” Hottell said.

He then located drugs in a container that had the suspects name on it.

Borjas is still in custody, and his bond is set at $50,000 with the right to post 10%.

The sheriff’s office also arrested 32-year-old Joseph Bailey for a felony warrant out of Colorado for robbery.

Hottell said that Bailey came in to get a firearm purchase permit, and when they ran a background check, he was flagged for having a warrant for his arrest.

Bailey still remains in Kimball County Jail and will have a hearing Wednesday to be extradited back to Colorado.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
