CHADRON - As the sun came up in Northwest Nebraska Tuesday, residents started the process of digging out from overnight snowfall.

Initial snowfall reports haven't come in yet from the Chadron area, but folks there are looking at potentially another three to four inches of snow on top of what fell overnight. Initial forecasts Monday had the northern portion of the Panhandle slated to get around six inches total.

Not surprisingly, travel in the Chadron area is difficult. State roads officials say highways 20 and 385 in all directions were completely snow-covered Tuesday morning.
