The Sidney Lady Raider basketball team won their fifth game in a row with a 64-24 win in at Alliance on Tuesday evening. Sidney held the Lady Bulldogs to single digits in every quarter as they improved to 17-4 on the season.

Alliance started the game on a 4-0 run before Kendra Nesbitt nailed a three-pointer to cut the lead to one. Alliance stretched the lead to 6-3 before Sidney Head Coach Tyler Shaw called a timeout. After that, the first quarter was all Sidney as the Lady Raiders outscored Alliance 13-2 for a 16-8 lead after one period.

Sidney continued to pull away in the second quarter as the Lady Raiders pumped in 17 points while holding the Bulldogs to just 5 points in the period, and a 20-point lead at intermission.

Sidney outscored the Bulldogs by 10 points in each of the last two quarters, engaging a running clock in the final minutes of the game for the 64-24 win.

Sidney will travel to Chadron on Friday for a boy/girl double-header with the Cardinals. The junior varsity games will tip off at 4:00 p.m. The varsity girl’s game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys’ varsity at 7:00 p.m. Catch all the action this Friday on KSID 1340 AM / 95.7 FM “The Fort.”
