NSP performs alcohol compliance checks in Keith, Chase Counties

OGALLALA, Neb. -- Alcohol compliance checks were performed in Keith and Chase Counties by the Nebraska State Patrol.
NSP said they held the checks in the evening of March 4 and they inspected 11 businesses in the counties.
Officials said only one of the businesses they checked ended up selling alcohol to a minor for a non-compliance rate of 9%. All the businesses reportedly did check the minor’s ID.
According to authorities, the business that sold to a minor was Lured In, in Ogallala.
NSP said that businesses who sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission while clerks that sell alcohol to minors are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor. The businesses that NSP checked were convenience stores, restaurants, liquor stores, and bars.
