Lequitta Brown, age 78 passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 in Sidney, NE.

Born to Ernest and Rose Hefner on August 14, 1945, in Roswell, NM, Lequitta was raised alongside her four siblings. Known for her sassy redheaded spirit and penchant for mischief, she always kept things lively. Lequitta graduated from Roswell High School in 1962

Lequitta held multiple jobs throughout her life, including homemaker, beautician, bus driver for the Roswell Independent School District, field office scale operator at Armstrong Construction, and secretary at Bob Reeds.

Lequitta married Airman First Class Bill Brown Sr., on April 3, 1965. With this marriage came an instant family with their oldest, Billy Brown Jr. Lequitta and Bill then proceeded to have 3 more children together Craig, Krista, and Corey.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Brown Sr., parents Ernest and Rose Hefner, brothers Billy Wayne Hefner and his wife Peggy Hefner, Terrill Hefner, and grandson Payte Brown.

Lequitta is survived by Billy Brown Jr. of Roswell NM; Craig Brown and his wife Tina of Florence, AZ; Krista Bruns and husband Jeff of Sidney, NE; Corey Brown and his wife Jodi of Roswell, NM and her thirteen grandchildren; Amiee Kermode and her husband Richard; Warren Brownand his wife Alex; Trisha Clarke and her husband Shane; Kaela Cole; Matthew Brown and his wife Nella; Katelin Riley and her husband Lane; Contessa Brown; Kyler Cole; Patrick Brown; Kande Groves and her husband David; Febe Brown and her husband Dom; Aryn Brown and Samantha Bruns. Along with her eighteen great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings Betty Derrick and her husband David of Florence, SC; Butch Hefner and his wife Joann of Roswell, NM; Cordell Brown and his wife Carol of Pueblo, CO; Neil Brown and his wife Patty of Canada. Lequitta was also blessed with many nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Andersen-Bethany Funeral Home in Roswell NM with graveside services to follow at the Hagerman Cemetery.
