Flores-Machado sentenced for burglary
Jose M. Flores-Machado was sentenced in Cheyenne County District Court to 36 months in the Nebraska Department of Corrections on a burglary charge.

SIDNEY -- Jose M. Flores-Machado was sentenced July 15 to 36 months in the Nebraska Department of Corrections.
Flores-Machado, a Colorado resident, was found guilty in Cheyenne County District Court of Attempted Burglary, a Class IIIA Felony.
According to court records, in January 2024 Flores-Machado "did then intentionally engage in conduct which, under the circumstances as he believed them to be, constituted a substantial step in a course of conduct intended to culminate in his commission of burglary .... willfully, maliciously ad forcibly breaking and entering real estate with intent to steal property of value."
The burglary occurred at a residence on Highway 19.
