MITCHELL, Neb. — Addie Peck, of Scottsbluff, battled warm temperatures in the upper 80s and gusty winds, to secure the Mitchell High School Golf Invite on Thursday, shooting a score of 81.

Her score was nine shots better than runner-up Taegan Bach, of Chadron, who shot a 90. Peck's teammate, Elliot Selzer, rounded out the top three with a 91. Jacqueline Gloy, of Perkins County, and Josette McConnell, of Sidney, were close behind with a 92 and 93 respectively.

The Bearcats claimed the team title. Sidney earned second, thanks to McConnell’s 93 and Claire Jordan’s 95. Chadron rounded out the top three in the team standings.
