Chadron posts two wins over Alliance

The Chadron boys started the 4th quarter on an 18-1 run to overcome a six point deficit and beat Alliance behind 23 points from Justus Alcorn, 59-51.

The win is the 7th in a row for the Cardinals and snaps an 8 game losing streak against the Bulldogs.

Chadron trailed 43-37 entering the 4th quarter before the run started, giving the Red Birds a lead as large as 11.

Xander Provance finished the night in double figures with 13 points.

Taverra Sayaloune and Jaleigh McCartney each dropped in 8 points a piece as the Chadron girls won their 8th in a row 40-23 over Alliance.

Defensively the Cards gave up just seven made baskets but watched the Bulldogs go 8-of-14 from the charity stripe to just 2 of 10 for Chadron.

Both teams continue to have identical records at 10-4.

Chadron begins a 5 game road stretch starting at Gering next Friday.
