Scottsbluff police seize fentanyl

SCOTTSBLUFF - Scottsbluff police report the arrest of a man for possession of fentanyl.

Following a traffic stop, officers seized a small jewelry bag containing brown powder and a plastic baggy containing 20 fentanyl pills.

According to an arrest affidavit, Joseph VanWinkle, who identified the brown powder as fentanyl, was placed under arrest. Police said he slipped his hand from the handcuffs while being transported to jail.
