Brewer in Lincoln County Court Thursday
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - 29-year old Christopher Manning Brewer III was granted a conditional bond offer by Judge Tanya Roberts-Connick. He would be required to pay 10 percent of $100,000 to be released while awaiting his next day in court. This, however, could be revoked due to Brewer’s pending troubles in Lancaster County. In addition, the bond is consecutive and separate from any bond set anywhere else.
Lancaster County District Attorney Patrick Condon said Brewer was wanted on a Lancaster warrant for absconding a Community Corrections bond since August 3, 2021. His bond in Lancaster County is on charges for methamphetamines’ 10-20 grams, a Class 1D Felony. He broke the conditions of his bond, which included the requirement to stay in Lincoln, which he did not do, leading to the arrest and new charges in Lincoln County.
Brewer was finally found in North Platte, where the incident (fleeing from the Nebraska State Patrol, among other things) occurred Wednesday. As a “flight risk” the judge set the bail higher than Brewer had hoped.
Brewer is asking for a court-appointed attorney. Court records show Brewer has a long history of trouble with drug charges and domestic violence charges, both in and out of Lincoln County.
Brewer is back in court on February 10, at 9 a.m.
