Scottsbluff, Bridgeport, Potter-Dix and Leyton will all host sub-district tournaments next week in western Nebraska. 

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) released Class B sub-district brackets for boys and girls Wednesday along with boys brackets for Classes C and D. 

Both Sidney basketball teams will travel to Scottsbluff next week for the B-8 Sub-District. The Bearcats are the top seed in both the boys and girls B-8 tournaments. Sidney earned the No. 2 seed in both brackets. 

The B-8 Girls Sub-District kicks off Monday, Feb. 21, at Scottsbluff High School. Scottsbluff will play the No. 4 seed Alliance at 5:00 p.m. while Sidney will face No. 3 seed Gering at 7:00 p.m. 

The winners of those games will play for the B-8 Girls Sub-District Championship on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 5:00 p.m.

The B-8 Boys semifinals will take place Tuesday, Feb. 22, in Scottsbluff with Scottsbluff playing Alliance at 5:00 p.m. followed by Sidney and Gering facing off at 7:00 p.m.

The two victors play in the B-8 Boys Sub-District Championship at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23. 

All of Sidney's Sub-District contests will be aired live on 1340 AM and 95.7 FM Cheyenne County Country as well as online on newschannelnebraska.com and on the NCN App. 

Leyton earned the top seed in the D1-12 Boys Sub-District. The Warriors face No. 4 seed Kimball in a semifinal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22. The other D1-12 semifinal will feature No. 2 seed Hemingford and No. 3 seed Garden County at 6:30 p.m.

The winners will face off in the D1-12 Sub-District title game on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m.

All games in the D1-12 Sub-District Tournament will be broadcast on 98.7 The Big Boy as well as online on newschannelnebraska.com and on the NCN App. 

In Class C2, Bridgeport earned the No. 1 seed for the C2-12 Boys Sub-District. There will be a play-in game between No. 4 seed Morrill and No. 5 seed Chase County on Monday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

The winner of that game will face top seed Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22. No. 2 seed Bayard will face third-seeded Perkins County in the other semifinal Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

The C2-12 Championship game is set for Thursday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 p.m.

Potter-Dix is the No. 1 seed in the D2-11 Boys Sub-District Tournament and the Coyotes will host the games. 

No. 4 seed Creek Valley and No. 5 seed Banner County tip off the tourney Monday, Feb. 21 with a play in game at 6:00 p.m. The winner faces Potter-Dix at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. 

Also Tuesday, No. 2 seed South Platte and Minatare will play in a semifinal at 4:30 p.m. 

The D2-11 Boys Sub-District Championship game Thursday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m.
