BRIDGEPORT, NE — The Bridgeport Lady Bulldogs are one win from the state basketball tournament after winning the C2-11 Sub-District Thursday night. 

Bridgeport defeated Perkins County 67-22 to guarantee itself a spot in a District Final. 

The Lady Bulldogs came out firing on all cylinders, forcing nine first quarter turnovers and converting many into points. At the end of the first, Bridgeport led by 20 with the score at 27-7. 

Bridgeport continued to pour it on in the second quarter, with six players scoring in the period. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs held Perkins County to just another seven points in the frame. Bridgeport led 56-14 at halftime. 

With the large advantage, there was a running clock throughout the second half. Bridgeport also called off the dogs, removing starters from the game for most of the second half. 

When all was said and done, Bridgeport won 67-22.

Ruthie Loomis-Goltl led the Bulldogs with 16 points. Grace Dean finished with a career high 15 points off the bench for Bridgeport and Olivia Loomis-Goltl had 14 in the game. 

Kailee Potts paced Perkins County with 10 points. 

Bridgeport (23-1) advances to a District Final on Friday, Feb. 25. The Bulldogs claimed the No. 3 seed for the District Final round and will face the No. 14 seed North Central. The game will be played at North Platte Community College. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. MT.

Perkins County season comes to end with a 10-12 record.
