SCOTTSBLUFF, NE — A 20-year-old Panhandle man has been arrested after cocaine was reportedly found in his socks.

According to an affidavit, Scottsbluff police pulled over a truck for expired tags last month. Officers reportedly discovered cocaine, marijuana, codeine and open beer bottles. 

Officers said they found two wrapped bindles in the sock of the 20-year-old driver, Jose Gonzales. According to the affidavit, one bindle was a hard white rock substance, and the other was cocaine.

Officers arrested Gonzales and he is facing five different charges, including possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession, open contain, and no valid registration.
