SIDNEY - Easter travelers on Interstate 80 near Sidney were delayed Sunday afternoon because of a semi-tractor-trailer on fire near mile-marker 55.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the westbound lanes were closed while the Sidney and Potter Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a semi-tractor-trailer, hauling multiple vehicles, that was fully engulfed in flames. The road reopened shortly after 6:30 p.m.

Grass in the nearby ditch also caught on fire. Smoke from the blaze could be seen in Sidney.
