Chadron State College events support Sexual Assault Awareness Month
CHADRON — Chadron State College will host three events aligned with National Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The first, Cover the Cruiser, will be Wednesday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Lindeken Clock Tower. Students are invited to make a pledge of support for survivors and speak out against sexual violence by signing their names to a police cruiser parked at that location.
Tuesday, April 26, the Title IX Office will host a brunch for the campus community from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Crites Hall. Sexual assault awareness materials will be available.
Thursday, April 28, a march on campus, Take Back the Night, will start at 7 p.m. at Beebe Stadium, proceed through the residence halls, and conclude at the stadium with a moment of silence.
On April 12, Nebraska Assistant Attorney General George C. Welch spoke on campus as part of the Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
