Scottsbluff woman arrested for shoplifting, drug charges
SCOTTSBLUFF -- A woman is behind bars for possession of meth and several controlled substances after reportedly being caught shoplifting.
Last month, Scottsbluff authorities responded to a shoplifting call at Main Street Market. Employees reportedly told officers that Katherine Patton, 41, had walked out with a cart of food. Employees stated that the total cost of food was $124.29 before tax.
According to the arrest affidavit, an officer made contact with Patton and searched her purse, which led to the discovery of a glass pipe with residue that tested positive for meth.
Authorities said a search warrant on the vehicle Patton accessed after leaving the store revealed a bong, and several different pills that are controlled substances.
Patton was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance- Zolpidem Tartrate, Clonazepam, Vyvanse, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and shoplifting.
