Woman attempts to escape custody in Scottsbluff
A Scotts Bluff County woman is facing additional charges after she tried to escape custody when she was arrested for drug possession.
SCOTTSBLUFF - A Scotts Bluff County woman is facing additional charges after she tried to escape custody when she was arrested for drug possession.
A black Dodge Journey with expired tags was pulled over by authorities in the 300 block of E. 20th St. A search of the vehicle revealed a slender glass pipe with white residue on it, aluminum foil with burnt residue and two straws.
A passenger, Tiffany Anaya, 25, is accused of having 29 fentanyl pills attached to a lanyard.
Both the driver and Anaya were placed in custody.
While in custody, Anaya is accused of trying to escape. Security video shows Anaya running away in the building before being caught and escorted away.
She'ss charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Intent to Distribute Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Drug Tax Stamp, and Escape from Custody.
