Marcella Maxine Olson Brauer, 86, a long-time resident of Sidney, passed away on May 12, 2022 at Sidney Regional Extended Care.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran South Divide with Pastor John Hill officiating.  Interment will follow at the Trinity Lutheran South Divide Cemetery.  Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 1 to 6 pm with the family present from 4 to 6 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Hour.

     Marcella , the daughter of Clarence and Freida (Krege) Olson, was born July 20, 1935 in Columbia, SD.  She graduated from Columbia High School in 1953. 

     She met the love of her life, Harold Brauer, through her sisters and their husbands.  She and Harold were married October 28, 1955 and moved to Sidney where they farmed south of Sidney until their retirement.

     Marcella worked as a volunteer at the Sidney Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinics transferring patients.  Marcella was blessed with a large, loving family.  She cherished the time spent together hosting many wonderful gatherings.  As a loving Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, she kept a front row seat to all sporting and school events and lovingly accepted any granddog that came her way.

     She is survived by her four children:  Barb and husband Bryce Landen of Chadron, Carolyn and husband Larry Stoll of Lodgepole, Sharon and husband John Riley of Sidney, and Roger and wife Roberta Brauer of Sidney; 9 grandchildren:  Stephanie and husband Tim Hruby, Erich and wife Mary Landen, Dani and husband Gabe Walz, Emily and husband Tommy Lopez, Hannah Riley, Lane and wife Kate Riley, Vanessa and husband Matt Woods, BrenDee and husband Randy Reinke, and Colby Brauer and friend Toshia; 13 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Ralph Brauer; sister-in-law Ginny Olson; and many nieces and nephews.

     Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; grandson Brandon Stoll; parents Clarence and Freida Olson; sisters Arlene Neinhuser and Ardell Meyer; and brother Merlyn Olson.
