BRUSH, Colo.-- A school administrator posted bond and was released from jail after being arrested for sexual exploitation of students.

One administrator from the Secondary Campus of the Brush School District turned himself in this morning after a warrant was issued for his arrest this past Wednesday. 31-year-old Bradley Bass was booked into the Morgan County Detention Center on four counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

Friday afternoon, Bass went before Judge Landry who set his bond at $2,500 and he was able to post bond.

On Wednesday, May 11th, officers from the Brush Police Department served a search warrant at the Brush Secondary Campus, seizing multiple electronic devices from that location. Inappropriate images of juvenile students were located on at least one of these devices, which is a school owned device issued to Bass, authorities said.

These images had been collected by school staff when they initiated an in-house investigation into a sexting incident.

Officers from the Brush Police Department had attempted to work with school staff during the initial investigation; however, school staff withheld pertinent information from the police department, hampering the investigation, officers said.

Only after the school district concluded their in-house investigation were officers provided with the information they had requested from the schools. At that time, officers learned that a school staff member had illegally collected inappropriate images of students during the school’s investigation.

Those images were then illegally uploaded and saved to the school district’s computer network, according to officials.

The Brush Police Department is working closely with Computer Forensic Analysts to ensure that all files related to this investigation have not been shared further and to ensure that all images are permanently removed and destroyed from the Brush School District computer systems and any associated electronic devices.

All identified victims in this investigation have been contacted by the Brush Police Department. However, officers are still attempting to identify others who may have been victimized during this incident.
