State patrol seeking information about hit-and-run accident in Scottsbluff
SCOTTSBLUFF - The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating an injury accident involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Highway 92 and W 20th Street in Scottsbluff at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday.
Spokesperson Cody Thomas says a driver of a semi-tractor hauling a cattle trailer collided with a motorcycle when both vehicles were attempting to turn southbound on South Beltline Highway from eastbound Highway 92.
According to Thomas, the driver of the semi-tractor-trailer left the scene of the accident. A second cattle truck stopped briefly, but left the scene before authorities arrived.
A witness rendered aid to the injured motorcycle rider. The rider was transported by ambulance to Regional West Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The state patrol is asking anyone with information about the crash, or information about the cattle trucks, to call the Nebraska State Patrol Troop E at 308-632-1211.
