Sidney Park Project set to open in August

SIDNEY, Neb. -- The Sidney Park Project has a new opening date.

After announcing weather delays had put their contractor behind schedule on social media, the Sidney Park Project announced they will be opening on August 2nd at 8 a.m.

The original opening date was July 4th. The Park Project said they apologize for the delay, and they have been waiting patiently for the contractor.

"The goal is opening by the 4th of July or as close to this date as possible. Please remember everyone is doing their best to meet this deadline," Sidney Park Project said. "We are hoping for the best weather possible and smooth installation."
