Methamphetamine found at traffic stop in Scottsbluff
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - A Gering man was arrested after failing to signal when turning, that led to a traffic stop and arrest.
47-year-old Rogelio Guel. of Gering, failed to signal on East 20th street onto Frontage road.
From there the vehicle went into the Scottsbluff Inn parking lot.
Court documents stated that officers found nothing illegal on Guel himself, but he did tell officers that he was on federal probation for drug distribution.
This led to the officers asking for permission to search the car, which Guel refused them to do so.
A police K9 was called in and alerted that there was in fact drugs in the car.
Police found a baggie weighing nearly 16 grams that tested positive for Methamphetamine and 3 digital scales.
Guel was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Intent to Distribute, and Turn Signal Defect.
His bond is set for $100,000.
