Authorities report to Legion Park to make arrest Tuesday Morning

On July 31st, Sidney Police officers reportedly arrested 59-year-old Kelly Arp after citizens reported to police that 59-year-old, Kelly Arp was threatening to kill them.
Police said he was chasing and threatening an individual while drinking alcoholic beverages. It was reported that Arp was arrested and transported to jail for a felony charge of terroristic threats and misdemeanors for domestic assault threats and bodily injury.
On Tuesday around 11:50 a.m., the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office received a call from an individual reporting that Arp bonded out of jail and broke a no-contact order.
According to the Sheriff's Office, a deputy contacted Arp at Legion Park and reported that he resisted arrest.
Sheriff Adam Frerichs said the deputy was able to get him under control and into custody.
Authorities reported that Regional West EMS was contacted to check out Arp before he was transported to Cheyenne County jail for breaking a no-contact order and resisting arrest.
Frerichs said Arp sustained a few scrapes on his arm and nose.
The Sidney Police Department, Cheyenne County Sheriff's Department, and EMS Ambulance responded to Legion Park.
