KIMBALL – Cruise night, live music, a parade, and demolition derby highlight the activities at the Farmer’s Day celebration in Kimball this weekend.

The annual event begins Friday at noon with the Bake and Book Sale at the Kimball Public Library and a bike race at 2nd & Chestnut at 4:30 p.m. Activities continue through Sunday.

Dinner will be available at 5 p.m. Friday with the food and vendor fair at 2nd & Chestnut and the soup supper at 107 S. Oak. St. The first day of the celebration ends with a cruise night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A full day of events on Saturday begins with the Red Knight’s Pancake Feed at the Eagles Lodge at 6:30 a.m. The 41st Annual Fun run starts at 8 a.m., followed by the parade at 10 a.m. and salsa contest at 10:30 a.m.

A free hamburger feed will be held after the parade at 11:30 a.m. at 2nd & Webster. Kids will be able to enjoy bounce houses on 2nd S. following the parade.

Saturday afternoon features a horseshoe tournament at Gotte Park at 12:30 p.m., the 4th Annual Cornhole Tournament at Chute #7 at 2 p.m. and the Kimball Ag Society Demolition Derby at the fairgrounds at 4 p.m.

The Kamakazee Club Flyer’s R/C Air Show will be at the airport at 10 a.m. on Sunday.  

Live music from “Victory Underground” will be held on Friday and Saturday nights at 9 p.m. at Chute #7.

The Goodhand Theatre will show “DC Life of Super Pets” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
