Scottsbluff man arrested after missing court date for drug-related charge

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — A Scottsbluff man is behind bars after missing his court appearance.
The Scottsbluff Police Department said they arrested 30-year-old Brady Kelly-Coe on Sept. 27 for an active arrest warrant after he failed to appear to his court hearing for a felony drug charge on Sept. 23.
On August 8, Officers reported following a vehicle that was traveling west on 20th St. when they noticed it cross over the center line twice.
SPD said they conducted a traffic stop and reported making contact with the individuals in the vehicle. One of the individuals allegedly told police there was marijuana in the vehicle and the police reported finding 0.9 grams of marijuana.
Officials reported that Kelly-Coe, one of the individuals in the vehicle, told officers he had his medication on him.
SPD said they located 15 pills wrapped in cellophane and that 13 of the pills were Xanax, a controlled substance. Kelly-Coe reportedly told police that the pills were prescribed to him.
SPD arrested Kelly-Coe for possession of a controlled substance.
