Northeastern Hosts Two Day Golf Tournament
NJC hosted their Fall golf tournament this past week as the Plainsmen and Plainswomen competed against their Region IX counterparts. On Thursday, September 22nd, Northeastern played at Sky Ranch Golf Course under wet and cold conditions that didn't favor NJC as they struggled to put up dominate numbers. Day two was improved overall for the NJC teams as they competed much better out at Riverview Golf Course. Northeastern's tournament is the only one in Region IX that plays at two separate courses, which brings a nice change to the format and gives kids a chance to play both of Sterling's golf courses while visiting. Next up, NJC travels to La Junta, Colorado where they will compete in the Otero College two-day tournament. Tee times are slated for 1pm on Thursday, September 29th and 9am on Friday, September 30th.
