The Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands Organization reported a major wildfire at the Bessey Ranger District near Halsey on Sunday.

HALSEY - A major wildfire in the Bessey Ranger District forced the evacuation of the Village of Halsey in central Nebraska Sunday.
The Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands Organization said the quickly-moving fire was likely human caused and jumped Highway 2.
Nearby campgrounds have also been evacuated.
The forest services and area volunteer firefighters responded to the scene.
