SIDNEY - Authorities responded to an injury accident west of Sidney Wednesday evening.

The one-vehicle rollover occurred on Sidney Draw Road, near Road 109, at approximately 6:45 p.m. The lone occupant in the vehicle was ejected when the vehicle rolled "several times" and came to rest on the south side of the road.

The occupant, whose name has not been released, was transported by ambulance to Sidney Regional Medical Center with injuries considered to be non-life threatening, according to Cheyenne County Sheriff Adam Frerichs.

Sidney Draw Road was closed while law enforcement investigated the scene. The road was expected to remain closed "for awhile."

While the cause of the accident and contributing factors have not been released by authorities, road signs warning travelers of loose gravel were present along the road.

The Nebraska State Patrol, Cheyenne County Sheriff's office, Sidney Volunteer Fire Department and Regional West Ambulance responded to the scene.
