Luke Kasten, Potter-Dix back in postseason for third-straight year

POTTER - Huskerland Prep Report Publisher Bob Jensen called Luke Kasten "just plain good" when he ranked him at the top of six-man football this preseason.
The Potter-Dix senior has rushed for 1,156 yards on 72 carries and has scored 29 touchdowns this season. He's thrown for 180 yards and a touchdown and has caught a score on 83 yards receiving. Add that to his 71 tackles on defense with 36 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, 41 quarterback hurries, six pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.
Jensen says you could play Kasten anywhere on the field.
"That kid is just a superb football player and he just happens to be playing in a six-man school, that's really it," Jensen said. "As far as where I put him on the all-state team preseason, I'm going to have the same decision to make when it comes to the postseason all-state team, because, simply, you can put him anywhere."
Kasten's numbers come a year after he had 1,128 yards rushing, 493 yards receiving, and 582 yards passing with 37 total touchdowns in his junior season when the Coyotes finished as the Class D6 runner-up.
Potter-Dix (8-0) returns to the postseason for the third consecutive year, 15th time overall in school history. They finished with a 1-7 record in both 2018 and 2019. The Coyotes host Brady (4-4) in the first round at 5 p.m. Friday in Potter.
Jensen says a challenge for the Eagles will be trying to tackle Potter-Dix's offense.
"Nobody's gotten a real good taste of Potter-Dix," Jensen said. "Well, they've all gotten a real good taste of Potter-Dix all season, it just hasn't lasted very long. I do know that Potter-Dix is just really good and I'm hoping they get a four-quarter game before the season is over."
Brady will feature a 1,000-yard rusher of their own. Senior Dillon Miller, a player Jensen says is one of Nebraska's best small-school sprinters on the track, has rushed 136 times for 1,071 yards and 18 touchdowns. He's also caught 12 passes for 268 yards and three scores. He's added a pick-six and two kick return touchdowns to his resume this season.
