LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) — Arthur Kaluma scored 18 points and 10th-ranked Creighton shook off a rocky start and pulled away for a 76-65 victory over No. 21 Texas Tech in the opening game of the Maui Invitational.

The Bluejays committed a season-high 13 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes and then their up-tempo offense started rolling. All five Creighton starters were in double figures.

Daniel Batcho scored a career-high 17 points for the Red Raiders.

Boston College defeats Wyoming for 3rd place at Paradise Jam

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) — Jaeden Zackery scored 16 points and Boston College took third place at the Paradise Jam, defeating Wyoming 59-48.

Devin McGlockton and Makai Ashton-Langford added 12 points each for the Eagles.

Boston College held Wyoming to two points over a key six-minute stretch of the second half, turning a one-point lead into a 46-37 advantage. McGlockton hit a 3-pointer and a layup in a 7-0 run that put the Eagles up 55-39 with 3:35 to go.

Wyoming, which was led by 11 points from Ethan Anderson, took fifth place.

South Dakota State women top No. 10 Louisville at Atlantis

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (AP) — Myah Selland scored 14 of her 25 points in a dominating fourth quarter to help South Dakota State beat No. 10 Louisville 65-55 in Monday’s fifth-place game at the Battle 4 Atlantis.

The 6-foot-1 sixth-year forward helped the Jackrabbits regroup after blowing most of a 17-point third-quarter lead against the Cardinals’ defensive pressure. She scored 10 of her team's last 11 points.

Hailey Van Lith scored 26 points to lead Louisville, which lost for the second time in three days. The Cardinals also lost to Gonzaga but had beaten a ranked Texas team.

Murray scores 30 as No. 25 Iowa defeats Omaha 100-64

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Kris Murray scored a career-high 30 points as No. 25 Iowa defeated Omaha 100-64 in an Emerald Coast Classic preliminary game.

Murray, coming off matching his previous career high with 29 points in the Hawkeyes’ 83-67 win at Seton Hall last Wednesday, had his first shot blocked by Omaha’s Dylan Brougham 86 seconds into the game. He then proceeded to hit 11 consecutive shots on his way to a 25-point first half. The junior finished 13 of 17 from the field and added seven rebounds.

Patrick McCaffery added 16 points for the Hawkeyes.
