The Toys for Tots program by the U.S. Marine Corps is collecting toys for its "Fill the Truck" campaign.

New unwrapped toys for youth birth to 18 years of age are accepted. They are also accepting financial donations. Items like wrapping paper, tape, and bows is always appreciated as well.

"Toys for Tots was started by the Marines to help families in need around Christmas time. It all stays local in Cheyenne County and Kimball County," said Katie Hanes, a coordinator at the Nov. 27 event.

They will be at Walmart in Sidney until 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27.

There are also drop-off sites throughout Sidney. 

"We'll take donations up to the 10th (of December)," said Christina Gudahl, one of the coordinators.
