SCOTTSBLUFF - An employee of a Gering trucking company is facing charges of theft by unlawful taking.

The Gering Police Department says Aaron Geiger, of Gering, is accused of purchasing goods from Walmart, Capital One, Amazon, and Menards on a company debit card without authorization from his employer, Mark Chrisman Trucking Company.

According to an arrest affidavit, Geiger told police he didn’t realize he was making purchases off the company card because he accidentally put the card information on his cell phone when he used it to purchase a part for Mark Chrisman Trucking Company, Inc.

His bond is set for $25,000.
