With new ownership, legendary Potter Sundry keeping its charm, expanding offerings

POTTER Neb.- A local staple and home of the world famous "Tin Roof Sundae," The Potter Sundry is undergoing a transition after being taken over by Missy Marsh. Marsh, the sister-in-law of former proprietor Molly Marsh, has been catering since 2019 and will now be adding more of her scratch made recipes to the Sundry's menu.
"I want to keep it a lot the same, just because the community is used to the historical aspect of the Sundry, I'll make a few menu changes and other than that it no, it's going to be pretty much the same." Missy said.
The Potter Sundry sells about 30 "Tin Roof Sundaes" a day to the consistent stream of tourists that have heard about the ice cream dessert, but Missy sees locals coming in for the breakfast and lunch offerings and wants them to feel at home. She is adding some items you can easily pick-up and take home, the first step toward her third business. In early 2023 she will open "The Farmer's Daughter" grocery store next door to the Sundry.
For now you can meet Missy and her team at the Potter Sundry from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays. They are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays. While the Sundry is closed on Sundays now, Missy has not ruled out adding a brunch next year.
