SIDNEY -- The Panhandle region of Nebraska is again under a winter storm watch.

The National Weather Service advises heavy snow is possible with accumulations of six to 12 inches expected.

Areas impacted are portions of Panhandle Nebraska including the cities of Chadron, Chadron State Park, Alliance, Hemingford, Scottsbluff, Gering, Harrisburg, Angora, Bridgeport, Bayard, Redington, Kimball, Sidney, Brownson, Harrison and Agate.

The storm is expected to impact the area Sunday afternoon through late Monday. The storm has the potential of making travel difficult.

Prior to the storm, high winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 60 to 65 mph can be expected until 11 p.m. Saturday. 

Caution is advised if traveling with light weight and high profile vehicles due to blow-over risk.
