The Nebraska wrestling team (2-2, 0-0 Big Ten) is set to face Gardner-Webb and Campbell on Saturday in Buies Creek, N.C. Action is slated to begin against Gardner-Webb at 4:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. (CT) against Campbell.

Eight Huskers enter the weekend ranked, including returning All-Americans No. 1 Peyton Robb (157) and No. 2 Mikey Labriola (174). The All-American duo boasts an undefeated dual meet record (8-0) and has scored 27 dual meet points for the Big Red this season.

Nebraska meets both Gardner-Webb and Campbell for the first time in series history.

Last Time Out: The Nebraska wrestling team dominated No. 18 South Dakota State as the Huskers recorded two bonus point victories to grab the 22-17 victory on Sunday, Dec. 18. 

Up Next: The Huskers will host Minnesota (7-0, 0-0 Big Ten) for an 8 p.m. dual on Friday, Jan. 13. The meet will be televised on BTN.

Scouting the Bulldogs:

  • Last month, Gardner-Webb wrapped up the fall semester with a 23-15 loss at Ohio, their most recent dual match. The Bulldogs are currently 1-4 this season.
  • Last season, the Bulldogs went 7-7 overall and 5-2 in conference competition. They finished 61st at last year's NCAA Tournament.

Huskers Host #15 Arkansas in Season Opener

The Nebraska women's gymnastics team is set to host No. 15 Arkansas in the 2023 season opening meet this Saturday, Jan. 7. The meet will take place at the Bob Devaney Sports Center and is set to start at 3 p.m. (CT). 
 
The Huskers last faced the Razorbacks in 2022 in a quad meet including Denver and Oregon State. Arkansas claimed the victory, outscoring NU, 196.975-195.750. Nebraska currently leads the series, 6-3. 
 
General admission to the meet and Pepsi products are $1 as a part of the Pepsi Pack the House promotion. The first 1,000 fans will also receive Nebraska roller banners. 
 
Last Time Out
NU is ready to return to competition after finishing the 2022 season at the Big Ten Championships. The Huskers finished tied for 6th after notching a team score of 196.450. 
 
Nebraska is led by junior Kinsey Davis and senior Clara Colombo who return for the Big Red after finishing last season at the NCAA Seattle Regional. Davis finished third on vault and second on uneven bars while Colombo finished fourth on uneven bars. 
 
Scouting the Competition
The Razorbacks return 12 gymnasts from a 2022 NCAA Regional squad. Arkansas went 6-9 during last year's campaign and 0-7 in conference matchups. The Razorbacks ended the season ranked  No. 16 on RoadToNationals. 
 
Arkansas is led by five seniors including one graduate transfer. Norah Flatly transferred from UCLA where she was a three-time All-American and four-time All-PAC-12 honoree.
