BAYARD - Senior Luke Kasten scored 15 points in the second half to help propel the Potter-Dix boys basketball team past Bayard Friday night, 56-49, at Bayard High School. Kasten finished with 17 points.

Senior Zack Rotert added 16 points. 

The Tigers were led by senior Trenton Marques with a game-high 24 points. 

The Coyotes improve to 4-1 and will host South Platte (3-5) Saturday. Bayard falls to 5-3 and travels to Gordon-Rushville on Saturday.

In the girls game, Bayard forced 40 turnovers, and shutout Potter-Dix in the first quarter, in their 66-18 win over the Coyotes.

Juniors Danika Harter and Joslyn Hopkins led the Tigers in scoring with 14 points each, while junior Lexi Fiscus chipped in 12 points. 

Senior Kailey Nicklas led Potter-Dix with six points.

Bayard improves to 6-2 and travels to Gordon-Rushville on Saturday. The Coyotes fall to 2-4 and will be back home on Saturday vs. South Platte (5-4).
