SIDNEY -- The Table of Grace announced recently it met the $40,000 fund raising goal.

Early in November, Bell Pole & Lumber challenged The Table of Grace and its supporters with a $40,000 matching grant. The goal was to reach the $40,000 by December 31.

With three days left in 2022, the goal was $6,437 short of the goal.

Sheri Eads, director of The Table of Grace, reported Friday, Jan. 6, that they had reached the goal with $456 to spare. The Table of Grace is supported by donations from businesses and individuals, grants and proceeds from the thrift store.

Table of Grace is an outreach program with a food pantry and a thrift store. In 2022, the program added a mobile food pantry, taking food to communities outside of Sidney. The mobile program was supported by a donation from Sandhills Publishing for the purchase of a pickup truck and trailer, and designed/constructed by Adams Industries.
