Sterling, Colorado authorities arrest man on nationwide warrant
STERLING, Colo. -- A 37-year-old man was arrested in Sterling February 10 on a nationwide felony warrant out of Texas.
Robert Rodriguez, 37, was taken into custody without incident. He surrendered himself to authorities at about 1:45 p.m. Friday, February 10.
Sterling Police learned Rodriguez was in the Sterling at a residence in the 700 block of North Third Street. Rodriguez was wanted for parole violations and burglary. Rodriguez was paroled to Sterling, according to a Sterling Police Department press release.
Because Rodriguez was considered armed and dangerous, the Northeast Regional SWAT team was activated. Sterling Police Chief Tyson Kerr said situation ended "with the desired outcome."
Rodriguez was taken into custody and transported to Logan County Sheriff's Office.
