SIDNEY -- The City of Sidney announced today the Snow Emergency has been lifted.
On Tuesday afternoon, City officials announced a Snow Emergency in preparation for an expected storm including snow, high winds and frigid temperatures.
During a Snow Emergency, no vehicles are to be parked or remain parked on any part of an emergency snow route. The issuance of a snow emergency is to assist the removal of snow as much as possible.
The emergency snow routes are designated by red and blue signs posted along the streets. Additionally, residents can view a map showing all of the emergency snow routes on the City website at cityofsidney.org, then type in "snow routes" in the search engine.
