Sidney schools suspend classes for boys state basketball tournament

The Sidney High School boys basketball team will be competing in the State Tournament this week. Sidney Public Schools will not be in session Wednesday March 8 and Thursday March 9.

'Remote Learning' set for March 8-9

SIDNEY -- The Sidney High School boys basketball team will be competing in the State Tournament this week. 

The 20-6 Sidney boys are scheduled to face the 24-2 Ashland-Greenwood boys at 3:15 p.m. at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.

Sidney Public Schools will not be in session Wednesday March 8 and Thursday March 9. Elementary schools were not scheduled for class March 9 and 10, and secondary students were not scheduled for class Friday, March 10.

Sidney Middle School and High School students will have remote learning Wednesday and Thursday. Teachers will be posting instructional materials and communicating expectations on Google Classroom and through RaiderMail. 

The high school Commons will be open 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Thursday for students who would like a quiet location to work or who need WIFI access.
