City of Kimball utility bills mysteriously disappear
More than 600 paper utility bills sent out by the City of Kimball vanished shortly after being mailed. While the bills originally were sent out on March 24th as is the standard time of month for the city, they never arrived at the homes of Kimball citizens.
"Our system said they were mailed out on the 24th, but no one can seem to find them," Katie Keys with the City of Kimball told us. She said people who receive bills via email were not affected.
They are not blaming the postal services and the bills never arrived at the Kimball Post Office. However, the post office has fielded a number of complaints about missing bills.
New paper bills were mailed on April 7th and started arriving on April 10th. Kimball residents will now have until April 21st to pay their utility bills without late fees.
