Drug arrest at Scottsbluff National Monument
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Authorities arrested placed a man under arrest at the Scottsbluff National Monument on drug and gun charges.
According to police, Jesus Valtierra, 28, failed to yield during a traffic stop by a park ranger. The ranger saw the suspect with a firearm and called police.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a syringe and needle with residue of Methamphetamine inside a black lock box. Valtierra's breath smelled of alcohol and police found a bottle of liquor in the vehicle.
Valtierra was booked for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Driving Under the Influence, Open Container, and Violation of an Out of State Suspension Order.
