Grass fire burns cedar trees north of Otter Creek at Lake McConaughy

LAKE MCCONAUGHY - Fire departments around Lake McConaughy in Keith County responded to a grass fire Friday. 

Sherry Buchanan Ramig shared a video of the fire with News Channel Nebraska. The video shows the fire reaching and scorching a row of cedar trees north of Highway 92 near Otter Creek at the Nebraska state park. 

She says the fire started because of a downed power line. 

Fire departments from Keystone-Lemoyne, Oshkosh, and Blue Creek responded to the fire.
