Sue Ann Wallesen 81, of Kimball, passed away at her home in Kimball on December 18, 2022 following a stroke. Cremation was held and graveside services will be held May 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kimball Cemetery with Randy Bohac officiating. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to share condolences and stories with the family. Memorials may be given in Sue’s memory to the First English Lutheran Church in Kimball. The services for Sue have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Sue Ann was born in Denver, Colorado on August 28, 1941, the daughter of Keneth and Leatha Bushor. The family moved to Kimball when she was three years old. She attended the Kimball Public Schools and graduated from the Kimball High School in 1959. She attended Chadron State College before returning to Kimball. Sue was married to George Wallesen on September 3, 1961 and to this union, two daughters were born. She was a stay at home mom until the girls were older. Sue went to work for the gas company and later worked for Kimball Health Services. She was a member of several clubs and enjoyed bowling on the women’s league. She enjoyed taking trips to Deadwood, South Dakota and Black Hawk, Colorado. Sue loved working in her flower beds and spending time with her family and friends. Sue was an avid reader, and once finished with the books, she would give them to the local library. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her daughters Lynne Hickox of Gillette, WY., and Marci Muneio of Kimball, NE; brother Ken Bushor of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren Kari Hickox, Anthony Muneio, Alan Muenio and Rayn Muneio; great grandchildren Rowan and Aspyn Muneio. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
