Sarah E. Bridge also known as Sis, Sar-e, Ma, Mom, Gram, Granny, and Gramoo, 85, of Cheyenne, departed this life at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne on March 7, 2023.

Sarah Ellen Bridge was born in O’Neil, Nebraska on August 22, 1937, the daughter of Glenn and Clara (Cook) Bragg.  She attended the O’Neil High School and waited until in her 40’s to get her GED which she was exceptionally proud of.  She had fond memories of her childhood, riding horses and going on outings to the lake with her family.  Her family was her main passion and she was very proud of their accomplishments in life, but secretly wondered if they’d ever come around.  She was a dispatcher for the City of Pine Bluffs and also became a caregiver for her grand daughter, a job she had until her retirement in 2014.  She loved many things besides her family including, horses, salt & pepper shakers, cookie jars, dolls, old cars, riding motorcycles, and stained glass. What people will miss the most was her infectious sense of humor, her crazy little redheaded laugh, and her altruistic nature.

She is survived by her children Carolyn (David) Skipper of Cheyenne, WY., Brenda (Will) Stackhouse of Cheyenne, WY., Rick (Martha) Bridge of Dubois, WY., and Laurie Fletcher of Cheyenne, WY; Randy Bridge of Omaha, NE., sisters Mary Spencer of Gering, NE., Rose McLaughlin of Casper, WY., and Vickie Lovell of Phoenix, AZ; numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son Derek Bridge, grandson Todd Kinkade; granddaughter Amy Winter, step grandson Brian Winter, son-in-law Ken Fletcher and her siblings Lawrence, Gary, and Darlene Bragg.

Memorial services will be held at the Pine Bluffs Methodist Church on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor J.R. Atkins officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the Pine Bluffs Cemetery where she insisted that there would be fireworks and bagpipes (which the family will make happen).  Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view Sarah’s Tribute Wall and leave condolences and stories for the family.  Memorials may be given in her memory to the Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore Road, Cheyenne, WY., 82009.  The services for Sarah have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
