Sidney Police announce recent arrests
Officer recognized in City Council meeting
SIDNEY -- Sidney Police Department announces four recent warrant arrests, and an officer was recognized for his interaction with a commuter.
* Brandon Christofferson, 27, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Cheyenne County. The arrest occurred at 1:32 a.m. May 21 at 18th Avenue and Second Street in Sidney.
He was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Cheyenne County. Upon search of his person, drugs and paraphernalia were found adding the additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance a class IV Felony.
* Christy Ann Pinatelli, 27, was arrested at 4:06 p.m. May 20 in the 2000 block of Dodge Street on a Cheyenne County warrant. She is held on charges of Class IIA Felony Burglary for the burglary at Haupt Storage.
* William J. Krueger, 22, was arrested at 12:03 p.m. May 21 at 11th Avenue and Lodgepole Road. During a routine traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign, officers discovered Krueger had an outstanding Cheyenne County Warrant for non-payment of a fine for shoplifting.
A search of Krueger’s vehicle and wallet yielded a substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. An additional charge of Possession of a controlled substance, a class IV Felony was added.
* Derrick Shane Bushing, 39, was arrested at the Sidney Police Department on a Cheyenne County warrant resulting from an incident on April 29. A woman reported someone had shot at her vehicle while she was driving, resulting in the left rear tire losing air. She had one passenger in the vehicle at the time.
Bushing was taken into custody on a charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, a class 1B Felony.
SPD Office McKenzie was recognized Tuesday in Sidney City Council meeting. In a letter from Chief Joe Aikens, Officer Colton Mckenzie was commended in a letter from man who had been traveling through Sidney and was stopped for speeding.
The driver called the police department to commend Officer McKenzie on his professionalism, describing him as professional, respectful and caring.
