Darlene, age 93, of Gering, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Gering, NE. No services are planned at this time and cremation has been held.

            Darlene May Grams was born August 20, 1929 in Campbell, NE to Ernest Grams and Minnie (Rutt) Grams. The family moved to the Denver, CO area when Darlene was young. Darlene eventually returned to live in Nebraska and on March 7, 2006 married Bill Peterson in Sidney, NE where she lived until moving to Gering in 2016.

            During her lifetime, Darlene always enjoyed singing, playing the organ, piano and guitar, and tending her beautiful flower gardens. She was an avid reader and had an artistic talent.

            Darlene is survived by her children Randall and wife Barb Whittaker, Glenda and husband Clarke Campbell, Lisa and husband Sam Bracken, sister Lorrene Grams, brother Leon and wife Bonnie Grams, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
