Kimball City Council to hold Budget Adoption Hearing Tuesday

The Kimball City Council will hold a special hearing prior to their regular meeting Tuesday for the purpose of adopting the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget. The hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers at 5:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
There could be as many as three votes during the hearing. Not only do they need to approve the budget, but also approve a final property tax request and consider and additional 1% under the Restricted Fund lid.
Following the hearing, the council will hold their regular meeting. They plan to discuss the recommendation of the Board of Public Works regarding a request from Kimball Health Services to wave payment of electrical upgrade invoices. They will also discuss the city pool leak detection report that was provided by American Leak Detection.
The council is also set to discuss month to month meetings as opposed to the twice monthly meetings they hold now. The once monthly meetings would be held on the third Tuesday of each month.
