Bayard goes 2-0 in Garden County triangular Tuesday night

OSHKOSH – Senior Lexi Fiscus finished with 16 kills, two ace serves and a block through two matches and the Bayard High School volleyball team beat Leyton in three sets and Garden County in two sets Tuesday night in Oshkosh.
Senior Danika Hassell finished the night with 15 kills and six blocks. Senior Joslyn Hopkins had 13 kills and four blocks.
Bayard finished with a combined 57 kills, 14 blocks, and eight ace serves in the two matches. The Tigers remain perfect at 11-0 and will travel to Chappell to face Creek Valley (0-11) and Minatare (3-10) in a triangular on Thursday.
Senior Trinity Beutler and Junior Shawnee Gamble both ended the night with 13 kills for Leyton, who finished 1-1 at the triangular. The Warriors defeated Garden County in two sets.
Beutler added three ace serves and a block, while Gamble added a block and an ace serve.
The Warriors ended the night with a total of 43 kills, 11 ace serves, and 10 blocks. Leyton is 11-3 and will play a home triangular with Hay Springs (11-3) and Kimball (1-8) on Thursday. All three matches will be carried live on 1043 KIMB and 1043kimb.com.
Garden County was led by junior Payton Fornander, who ended the night with 13 blocks, seven kills and an ace.
The Eagles finished with a total of 23 kills, 18 blocks and 11 aces between their two matches. Garden County (7-7) will travel to Morrill on Thursday and will face the 8-2 Lions.
